四、Teaching procedures  教学过程

Step 1 Greeting &Warm up

1. Sing a song

【设计意图：教师自选以动物为主题的英文歌曲在上课开始时播放，旨在活跃气氛并渗透语言】

2. Look and guess

T: Now let’s play a game. I will show you three animals. Let’s guess what they are.

a. It has two feet. (新授“a foot”) It has two small eyes. It likes carrots. It has two ears. It can jump and run.—rabbit

b. It has four legs. Look at its legs. It’s cute. (新授 “a leg”) It has a fat body. (新授 “body”) it has big ears. What is it? —pig

c. It has a long tail. (新授 “tail”) It has two big wings. (新授 “wing”) It has a small head. It can fly in the sky. —bird

【设计意图：在Look and guess游戏中渗透文本中的新单词，丰富语言。】

Step 2 Presentation

1. Free talk

T: Do you like animals? Do you have an animal friend?

T: I have an animal friend. It’s a fish. This is its body and that's its tail. It has no legs or arms. It has no feet. It's lovely. I like it. (新授fish, body, tail) 引出课题  Unit 3 Our animal friends

Step 3 Story time

1. Watch and match (播放课文动画寻找答案)

T: What animal friends do they have?

S1: Nancy has two fish.

S2: Mike has a dog.   

S3: Liu Tao has a rabbit.

S4: Su Hai has a parrot.

【设计意图：帮助学生整体感知课文。】

2. Read and tick

3. Read and fill in the blanks

Step 4 Consolidation

1. Read the story

2. Retell the story

3. Talk and show

五、Homework  家庭作业

1. Read and try to recite the story.

2. Finish “Think and write” on P28.

3. Surf the Internet and find more information about animals.
